Three physicians have earned the annual Bruce and Cynthia Sherman Charitable Foundation Sherman Prizes, which recognize excellence in the field of inflammatory bowel diseases.
The 2024 Sherman prize honorees include Millie Long, MD, interim division chief, professor of medicine and director of the fellowship program in the division of gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill and Dermot McGovern, director of translational medicine at the F. Widjaja Inflammatory Bowel Disease Institute, director of the Precision Medicine Initiative, professor of medicine and biomedical sciences and Joshua L. and Lisa Z. Greer endowed chair in IBD genetics at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles.
