Cedars-Sinai's Dr. Stephan Targan Honored for Research, Advances in Treating Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis
Stephan R. Targan, MD, director of the Inflammatory Bowel and Immunobiology Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai is one of two recipients of The Bruce and Cynthia Sherman Charitable Foundation Sherman Prize. The announcement was made Tuesday in Naples, Florida.
Recipients of the $100,000 prize were honored for their achievements in advancing research and innovative care models that have improved the health and wellness of millions of Americans living the Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, also known as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).
