The longtime Naples resident and retired financial guru has created the “Sherman Prize.”
No strangers to philanthropy, he and his wife, Cynthia, have launched the prize to recognize and reward exceptional and pioneering achievements in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
For Bruce Sherman, Crohn’s hits close to home. His father had the disease, and so do his two daughters, who suffered through what seemed to be endless doctor’s visits, treatments and hospitalizations when they were younger.
